Indirect client contact refers to the following:
- liaison with others (at your request)
- report writing
- preparation of equipment which you will need in your therapy program and interactions
- letters of support
- MASS applications
- attendance at meetings
- communication partner training that you have requested
- involvement in incident reports
- communication board design
- telephone consultations which have been requested or approved by you

Everything that is brought to a consultation reflects post graduate training, quality materials and care. All costs have to be accounted for in the fees charged. private practice is not a service which receives government subsidy and as with any other business there are running costs which include electricity, rental of materials and venues, phone stationery, postal charges, memberships and insurances. The schedule of fees aims to keep costs as low as possible for clients. Please take time to familiarize yourself with the schedule of fees and investigate funding options that may be applicable to you.
You may be able to offset your expenses for speech therapy by contacting funding sources such as Medicare (Care Plan), Private Health Insurers and some funding bodies. A Medicare Care Plan may pay $45 for up to 5 sessions of allied health therapy. Contact your GP for more information.
Payment for services can be via direct debit, credit card, cheque or cash. All accounts are strictly 30 days. Penalty fees of $50 per week will be applied until full payment of an account is made. Government and non-government agencies should be aware of this charge.
